Equamore Sanctuary

I have been coming to Equamore for over 20 years. I have seen horses taken in that nobody else would, consistently, and cared for with respect and dignity. I have seen board members give of their time and money, daily, above and beyond what is expected. I have witnessed (as a professional non-profit Executive), the extreme, tireless efforts of Equamore to afford and provide the best possible home and experience for horses. I would recommend them to anyone and personally have family horses there who are happy and healthy as ever.

I went there to take my grandchildren to a birthday party at the stables. The horses, while very visible, were penned and the place was quite safe. I was so impressed by the effort made by Equamores staff to provide a loving last home for these neglected and abused horses. When I learned that there were 55 horses, each one costing $500 per month to support. A truly noble cause!

It’s a beautiful place. Very calm and peaceful.. lots of big trees and green grass. The owner is very friendly and so are the employees. Their border collie, Henry, enjoys greeting the visitors. The horses are happy, well cared for, and well fed. When the owner heard that I’d be taking photos, she gave me a behind the scenes sneak peek at one of the horses. I appreciated that.

My husband and I toured the sanctuary and were blown away! Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The horses are very happy and well taken care of. It was a great experience and I would encourage others to visit and donate to this wonderful cause! Thank you Equamore!

My 5 year old son and I came to out to see the horses. Peter gave us a guided tour that was incredibly informative! I also can not believe how on top of things this facility is! It's not only beautiful but the amount of care and attention they give horse is outstanding! Their practices ensure the horses stay healthy and donated resources are used efficiently (not wasted or over used). Highly recommend checking it out or donating to this amazing facility.
