Ellensburg Animal Shelter

I had a really amazing experience adopting my cat Rory from this shelter! I got to do an over night sleep over which turned into a week long stay while I learned if she was a good fit for me and my other cat. During that time the shelter was super kind on letting me know that the way my cats were interacting was perfectly okay. Also during this time Rory had a fur ball and the pet shelter gave me both medication and 28 cans of furball cat food. When I went to officially adopt her they gave me a bag of cat toys for her and over all it was an amazing experience!

Wonderful staff, Jessie and company. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a very affectionate cat show up at our house a couple of days ago - we cared for it while attempting to find the owner. This morning we took it in to the shelter, it was chipped, they called the owner, and the owner came in and was reunited with Apple Pie after being missing for 2 years! That short emotional interaction - including the reaction from the cat - won't be forgotten quickly. I don't think Apple Pie would have ever made it home without the shelter and their dedicated staff. Thank You!

Just adopted my sweet pup from this shelter. Prior to that I came to the shelter to walk dogs on Saturdays. Please consider spending 30 mins or so walking a furfriend at the shelter even if you can't adopt.

Very friendly! Parking isn’t the greatest but the professional caring staff makes the experience feel wonderful.
