DFW Humane Society

I recently adopted my cat Tigger from DfW Humane Society. The staff were friendly, very helpful and answer all my questions. Tigger was rather shy and hid a bit the first day or so. But, he quickly settled in with no problems. He’s extremely affectionate and loves to play. He’s very curious and likes to investigate everything LOL 😂 Tigger is one of a kind and I’m so glad I adopted him. Actually he picked me ♥️ iykyk

I adopted "Misha Von Fluff n Stuff" from here about 14 years ago. She recently passed away, and what a great 14 years we had. We walked over ten thousand miles together. Later in life, she got a family and was loved by so many people! I will be forever thankful to the DFW Humane Society staff for helping me find such a wonderful companion. I am writing to provide feedback regarding a recent visit to your location. First, I would like to say that I truly appreciate the important work you do in the community. It is because of the respect I have for your organization that I went out of my way to drop off supplies to support your efforts. Prior to coming, I attempted to call to confirm availability; however, no one answered the phone. When I arrived, using my walker for mobility assistance, I found a note posted on the door indicating the office was closed due to mandatory employee training. I fully understand and respect the importance of staff training. However, I was disappointed that there was no updated voicemail message informing callers of the closure. DFW Humane Society is a fantastic shelter that shares its space with Irving Animal Care Campus, and together, they do an amazing job caring for animals in need. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and full of friendly staff and volunteers who genuinely care about the pets. One of the highlights here is the cat room, where you can interact with the cats before adoption. Some roam freely, while others are in their crates, making it a great way to get to know their personalities. Very nice n friendly ladies at the counter, even if they dont have much donation they always take care of me. They are a life saver! They also had a cute kitty adaption. I might just go back and get her. I forgot her name but she was a beauty.
