Love this shelter! We have adopted two beautiful fur babies from here and we couldn’t be happier with them!! Daws is a great place to visit if you are thinking of adopting puppies, dogs, kittens, cats. You go on line, fill out the application and then setup an appt to meet your desired family member if you match with them. Our babies Vegas and Sadie are inseparable! Lots of love here. ❣️ Please check them out!!
DAWS is a great organization. They make the adoption process simple. We love the fact that they look into potential adopters backgrounds and vet them to be sure pets are going to a good home. The staff is very friendly and the newly renovated office in Bethel is beautiful. Unfortunately their dedicated full time vet Dr. Cary Brenner passed away recently so I know they are looking for someone to fill those big shoes! DAWS host a gala every year and are always looking for people to donate, to help keep the furry friends they receive healthy and fed before they are fostered or adopted. I know that every year some of the puppies from DAWS make it into the puppy bowl shown at halftime during the Super Bowl.
Adopted Maggie (formally Harmony). She is the sweetest little girl. Plays fetch and brings it back. Never short on love and kisses. Perfect addition to our family.
We are so happy because we just gained another fur son! Our Bruno is the cutest and everyone at this shelter were amazing and informative. So grateful for this place ❤️
They said they think we’re not ready to adopt right now because of my moms demeanor and the fact that we visited multiple times. And we played with one of the cats yesterday and my mom wanted to take a look at another one but they were closing up. The old white woman at the counter left a note apparently claiming that we’re not ready and some other stuff which is apparently a rarity of sorts for them to get and they were just really reluctant to any sort of adoption made under our name. Honestly feels a little discriminatory because the woman didn’t understand my moms anxiousness and the fact that we just wanted to be absolutely certain on which cat we’d like to take home. Not to MENTION I said multiple times that I was interested in the one I was eyeing, Lil Dude, and then it was not even
