Danville Area Humane Society

This was my first visit to the Danville Area Humane Society, and I was genuinely impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the staff. You can feel right away how much they care about the animals — everything was clean, organized, and handled with real compassion. I know there are some negative reviews out there, but after seeing it with my own eyes, I can tell you those comments don’t reflect the truth. The people here are doing incredible work for the right reasons, and they deserve more appreciation than criticism. I’m glad I stopped by and got to see firsthand what a dedicated and caring team they have.

Just took the dog in not even 2 days and they had already put him to sleep worst thing I could have ever did was bring him there. He was only a year old very playful and sweet very hurtful. Just needed him there for a while to find a different home for him and she was very disrespectful about telling us they had did it definitely will not recommend anyone bring anything to this place it's ridiculous

We are the prime example of why you want to chip your animals. Exactly 11mos and 1day after our cat, Kevin got spooked, ran out and then lost, we got to bring him home. Thank you to this wonderful place, they ran his chip and called us. He is back💖😻 he was found 40 miles south of his last location. Miracles do happen. 🙏
