Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter

We have adopted two cats from Dan Cosgrove and have visited a few times to read/socialize with the animals there. The place is always clean, staff super friendly and helpful and animals are well taken care of. I'm very grateful to have such a wonderful organization nearby!

There is a sign at the road that says to come say hi to their bunnies. I nanny a little girl that LOVES bunnies, so we went! The staff is soooo awesome! The bunnies were soooo friendly. You can open the cage and pet them. We then went into the cat room. Some were super affectionate and some that were ferel/older understandably wanted to be left alone. We did not go in to see the dogs. They were very quiet and we didn't want to get them all going. I can tell you that if you're looking to adopt, this is the place to go! If your looking to donate, this is the place to donate! They help so many animals! I know a few people that adopted a dog from there and they really go above and beyond. They pretty much give you everything you may need to go home with like crate, toys,food etc.... The fee is

What a great animal shelter. They have helped so many animals find their forever homes. They have helped and saved many many abandoned and abused animals. The staff and volunteers are terrific. The new building and grounds have been designed with the animals health and wellness in mind. We have donated stuff whenever we can.

I love this shelter. All the staff are very compassionate. Sharing pics of my kitten Schatzi from his 1st day here , 6/18/24 til now. He is thriving in his new home!! I am completely enamored with him.❤

My experience trying to adopt went like this. I walked into the cage area and found a 6 year old dog named Fred and visited again to see fred the dog , I asked the staff were there any applications before me - she said no he's been there since past May - 6 mo. I said I'll do the application to adopt him , well over 2 weeks go by so I called them on the phone and was told Fred was adopted , of course I was confused and concerned because nobody wanted him except me according to the staff so the lady on the phone said hold on came back and said you could adopt his son because your application passed , I said good I'll be there shortly before 4 pm when they close. Happy about it I went and bought a raised bed with couch on top , food , toys and everyone was at my house to greet him when I
