Cookeville Putnam County Animal Shelter

We adopted our sweet girl Rye last week! The facility alone is beautiful and well kept. All the animals are well cared for. The set up they have for the animals is awesome and they even have a specific room for you to meet your match without all the distractions. They also allow you to bring your dog to meet to make sure it’ll be a good match. Their adoption fees are more than reasonable and they send you home with a folder of information and coupons! The staff is super resourceful and very kind. We definitely be here again! Thank you for our sweet girl!

Unfortunately we had to put down Cronos our red nosed chocolate pitbull that was 17 years old they were very kind and took great care of us and our dog. You can tell they care deeply for animals.

I want to thank the kind-hearted people that attended to a family friend who had to put her companion of 17 years down. He lived a very long and happy life and Cookeville Putnam county animal shelter was so attentive and kind during this emotional event. They were happy to make a next day appointment for us. The staff there attended to us in a very timely manner and were very understanding during the emotional event. Thank you for doing all you guys do everyday for both the animals & people of Putnam County!
