would give zero if I could!! im ALL for animal advocacy, safety, and concern. they recently adopted out a cat that happened to be sick, Jasmine. she had her neuter and shots 2 days prior to being adopting out to a family w 3 young children. the mother of the family communicated with the shelter as she took her to our local vet, she was severely dehydrated, had to have vet approved food to get her nutrients back up because she refused to eat or keep anything down. the staff was EXTREMELY HATEFUL throughout the whole process. the brought the father to TEARS! A GROWN MAN CRY!! they wanted the best for Jasmine, and with the family not having any idea of her medical history, or her past at the shelter, they brought her back UNTIL SHE GOT BETTER!! I got this lovely handsome boy from here almost a year ago. He’s not spoiled or anything. Lol. He’s living life to the fullest even with 3 legs. Talk about rotten. The kids love him and if you haven’t figured it out he thinks he’s a “lap” dog lol

They won’t take anything. And the man there came out yelling at me. I had a kitten in. Small box I was trying to bring to them. The baby pooped and peed in the box and it was soooo strong smelling so I was throwing the box away outside so I set the kitten down in The grass really quick. He comes out side yelling hooping and hollering. WHERE IS THE CAT Maybe he thought I was throwing the cat in the trash idk. But why would I do that AND ESP IN FRONT WITH CAMERAS like come on WHO DOES THAT?! Why would I bring that baby to the humane society to throw it away. But that was really off putting. 0/10 do not recommend

Most of these reviews are for the Christian County animal shelter NOT THE HUMANE SOCIETY! We do not have drop off at our facility. Our animals we take in go straight to vet office. We do not have set hours either so no one would be there to Yell at anyone from the Humane Society. Plus cameras belong to the business next door. Please make sure when you post a review you have the correct facility, good or bad!

LOVE this shelter. All the staff was nice and communicated with me through calls and messages. Kennels were all clean and the dogs looked very healthy and taken care of! I live pretty far away but don’t regret the drive to get my Tulsa!! (shelter name Maze)
