Cheyenne Animal Shelter

This sweet and very lovable boy has put a spark back in is momma’s heart. We are very thankful and lucky to have rescued him from the shelter. He loves his sister and his toys. For as young as he is he has the best manners we could ask for. We hope he loves his new forever home. Thanks Cheyenne Animal Shelter for taking care of him during his surgery. AKA Dug is in his forever home. 💕🐾🐶

This is definitely a no-hassle shelter. I had been looking for a dog and had inquired or looked into several other shelters and rescues, and they all wanted me to fill out long, interrogative forms for me to prove to them I was worthy of adopting a dog. Some of the questions were intrusive. It was like I was on trial (or at least a deposition). Not so with Cheyenne Animal Shelter. They were very friendly, welcoming, and cooperative. They seem like they genuinely want to give dogs new homes. If it doesn't work out either for the dog or for the adopters, they will take them back. We got there on a Friday afternoon from Spearfish, SD, thinking that a weekday would be less busy than a weekend day, but even though they had plenty of staff helping at each desk, there were still so many people c

six months ago, I decided to walk through cas and see who I might meet. 2025 brought a divorce, struggles, life and routine changes etc for myself and two fur babies. I didn’t know “porthos” then, but life would not be as beautiful now, if not for her. Senna Marie is the queen of the castle and bosses her big siblings around. she adores both her 85 pound big sis puppy and her lazy orange tabby brother. Senna is so very odd and she brings out so much love and light in our little family. she is and will always be a most beautiful gift🤍

We adopted a puppy from here recently. If you want a puppy, you have to get there right when they open - they go fast! The process of meet-up and adoption was really smooth and easy and the staff were helpful and responsive. Clean, nice facility. We ended up with the sweetest pup!

This is a phenomenal service in our county, and it really is helping with animal rescue adoption and fertilization. I'm grateful for the service they provide us
