Wyoming K-9 Training Academy

I had the pleasure of having my Giant Scnhauzer Gordan work and train with Paula and Candace. They provided quality training for my puppy and helped get some of the initial commands set in stone for him to thrive and reduce some of the frustrations I was dealing with, (lunging at people on bikes while walking, leave it commands and socialization exposure.) Looking back this has increased the bond I've had with my dog and has provided him with a solid foundation in his development. We took our very dog reactive puppy to Wyoming K-9 Training Academy for board and train. I was very reluctant to leave her because she was so young (5 months). I did feel like her problem was severe enough, though, that if we didn’t do something she would never be able to be around other dogs. After a month she was MUCH improved! I had to trust the process. I was able to visit frequently and check in on her progress. We were very pleased with our experience and happy we did it. She liked all the handlers there.

I left my 4½ yr old golden doodle with Paula and Candace for their 4 wk training program during which time they helped him, and me, "relearn" and reinforce the good behavior he already knew but had "forgotten". It was worth it. Every time I visited him, I could tell he was well cared for and loved and he returned that love. I would highly recommend their training program for your dog and you.

Sending my 8 week old german shepherd Leia to this training academy was the best split-second decision I could have made! Due to my mental health, kids, college courses, work, and already having two 14 year old Shiba Inu dogs at home there was no way I was going to be able to train Leia when she suddenly made her appearance into the family. Paula is clearly a true dog lover with professional experience, and Leia absolutely loves being there. While Leia is still a puppy, she has clearly learned so much from the training academy and I appreciate Paula taking the reins on her obedience training for us. It has been 100% worth every dollar working with this academy and Leia will be back in a few months to begin service dog training with Paula.

Candace is an incredible trainer! She’s patient, encouraging, and truly takes the time to understand both you and your dogs’ individual needs. I brought my two large dogs—a German Shepherd/Husky mix and a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix—for obedience training and help with leash reactivity. Thanks to Candace’s guidance, I now feel confident walking both of my 70-pound dogs together. The difference in their behavior is amazing! I highly recommend Wyoming K-9 Training Academy to anyone looking for expert, compassionate dog training.
