For as long as I've owned guinea pigs I've wanted a natural herd, that's when there's one male paired with one or more females. Natural herds are the strongest type of bond you can get and typically lead to longer healthier lives for all pigs involved. I already have two beautiful girls named Hailey and Molly so to complete the herd I needed a neutered male. Specter is exactly that, he's a single young neutered male roughly the same age as Hailey and Molly! A perfect match. When I saw him I immediately went to visit him in person to talk to the shelter and hopefully apply with them directly. That's when the problems started. The staff would barely talk to me. They acted like I wasn't supposed to be there despite their website saying they accepted visitors. I wasn't allowed to touch Spect

It's a shame to need such a wonderful business like this. There were sooo many sweet an happy birds looking for a new family. Make this your 1st stop of you are looking for a good bird education and hopefully make the right wing'ed decision.

I adopted an amazing, older Amazon parrot here. The care and cleanliness of all the rescues is exemplary. The staff is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful place.

I stopped in here a few years ago to visit the birds and stock up on supplies. I thought volunteering would be a great way to help. I decided to head there once a week to clean cages. I asked one of the volunteers if I could handle the birds and she said it was a reward after we were done for the day. I fell in love with a gorgeous Cockatoo who took to me. The following week I went in to volunteer and there was a sign on his cage stating no one was to remove him. I contacted one of the girls who runs the place via text and she said I was to leave him alone. Within the next week I realized that I was no longer physically able to continue cleaning cages so I had to cease volunteering. I received a message stating they were so grateful for my help since the other volunteers really liked me..

Hi, I just completed an application for a consideration for an adoption and BEFORE even going through the process and getting my own experience with the adoption process, I wanted to read reviews and I like to comment on “negative” posts: Guys, please be reasonable about your comments! It is their job to find a good pet owners for pets in their care! I would not give you my pet, if you surrendered yours for an “upgrade”! The same goes for cage that is still sitting in a box, disassembled and you walk in “ready” for an adoption! This is not working well! Be ready to show a picture of a ready and all set cage! It is a reasonable request! You like to adopt a bird, please support your decision with right actions! It is very stressful for birds to travel from one place to another and another a
