Cascade Canine Rescue East and West

I bought my dog Penny at this rescue 13 years ago and it has been the best decision me and my girlfriend at the time but now wife have ever made. We will forever cherish this rescue.

Appalled at the response we got from the woman who answered the phone when calling to find out about a recently houseless person needing to surrender her dogs because she is no longer able to take care of them...especially in the extreme heat as she is living in her van with no air conditioning. This woman had absolutely no compassion and was extremely rude and degrading to the person making this difficult decision, knowing that it is in the dog's best interest to find somewhere they can be cared for. Extremely disappointed...

I’m a seasoned rescue worker that has no affiliation with this group. I came across their page and checked reviews for fun. If anyone was wondering, don’t listen to the one star ones. People are literally mad at a volunteer run 501c3 Foster based rescue for not allowing them to adopt a cat and leave it outdoors near busy roads (their CORRECT policy), recommending more equipped places for others in need to call, and being “judgemental” I check reviews because I can tell when there are unfounded one star reviews from people who do not understand how rescue works/want everyone to bow to them and their ego. We called about surrendering some dogs who are living in a van with no air conditioning and the owner is homeless with no way to care for them at this time. The person we spoke to was rude, calloused definitely not empathetic. The way she spoke in a degrading manner was despicable.

I got my Bobby from them. Dorie was great to deal with. Love anyone that loves animals.
