We have been bringing our kitties to CVH for over a decade and there is nobody we would trust more with their care than Dr. Rockcastle and Dr. Jarnot. Our 13 year old, Simba, was recently diagnosed with feline diabetes and both Dr. Rockcastle and Dr. Jarnot (as well as the front desk staff and techs) have shown us so much patience and compassion in helping us navigate our new (often scary) normal. We also recently had a suspected urinary obstruction scare with our little guy, Oliver, which prompted a visit to the emergency vet. We had contacted CVH prior to bringing him and Dr. Rockcastle went out of her way at the end of the day to check in on us and ease our minds until she could see him for a follow-up. Libby the corgi was uninterested in eating for two days. When we did get her to eat with very attractive dishes she would vomit. I brought her in to at least get a data point on her weight and some advice. A cancellation came in just as we talked, opening up a time 45 minutes later. I took it. Besides receiving professional judgment on her status I was able to look at x-rays ( left, right and down) which relieved us of the concern of a blockage. My anxiety was pretty much eliminated and Libby was fully recovered by the end of the day. Very thoroughly briefed. Excellent service.

CVH has always been a great facility. But I want to make special mention of Dr Rockcastle who went way above and beyond for me and my dog. I had many questions about my Pug's tracheal issues and simply wanted to sit down speak to my vet about my concerns. Dr Rockcastle made time for me after her last appointment of the day to answer all of my questions. She worked with me regarding a treatment plan going forward and explained in detail where she thought we might go next with his care. They are a very busy clinic but she understood that taking the time with me, one on one, was just as important as the time she has spent with my dog. What a great Vet! Her time and consideration at the end of a busy day meant the world to me.

The Canadaigua Veterinary Hospital staff was able to treat our orange 18 pounder wild boy cat without needing to sedate him with anesthesia as had been needed twice at another vet. They were all great

I now have my 3 fur babies at Canandaigua Vet. I’m so glad I made this decision, as this place is the best at communicating, following up, and made sure that my kitty had the best possible care. Dr Peter, thank you for being so kind, and understanding, when it came to my kitty. U came up with an amazing treatment plan, and discussed ways and rationals on what would work the best. U truly cared about my kitty and I won’t ever forget that!
