Burleson City Animal Shelter

I rescued the sweetest kittens and their loving mom from the streets, but since I already have pets of my own, I couldn’t foster them. When I dropped them off, the staff started accusing me of lying about them being strays and they “need us to be honest about where we got them.” They believed this because they were watching us love on them in the car before we had to bring them in. They were so rude about it, and it really caught me off guard. I was honestly just happy to get some cats off the streets and give them a chance at a better life, but wow — that reaction really took the joy out of doing something good. We got our precious Ruddy from you guys back in Nov of 2013 a week after an ice storm. He was a great asset to our family. We lost him this Mother's day May 11 2025. What a blessing he was. Drove from lubbock Texas to get him

If I could give 0 stars I would. During an outing with my family I saw a xlarge breed dog running around in Burleson by a store parking lot, next to Wilshire. I was scared she would get in to traffic so with the help of my husband we got her in our truck. We drove around the area for a little bit to see if someone was looking for her and asked a couple people. when we didn't find anyone missing her we decided to take her to Burleson animal shelter. We get there and I go inside an animal control officer (female,white, skinny,short dirty blonde hair) was at the desk I told her what happened she asked for my ID and then put all info in her computer asked another worker if anyone reported a dog like that missing and were they could put her ,I guess they were full. I brought our puppy here to be microchipped. Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience. $15 for microchipping. Very quick process.

Everyone was absolutely amazing and so helpful! Bessie fits right in and is absolutely the best girl! We love her so much!
