Highly recommend Chris and Best Life k9 Academy. We adopted 7 1/2 yr Bella from WARF. She likes to bark..actually loves to bark. We tried a franchise training facility here in Reno that only uses treats and positive reinforcement in a room to help stop her reactivity. While that is a terrific idea..for a dog who wants to yell at people and dogs, it is four walls and no real life scenarios. After 4/5 -1hour "trainings" we gave up and never went back. That place wasted our time and $$$, and we reached out to Chris who works with some of the dogs at the WARF sanctuary and Animal control. Chris gave us tools to work with Bella at Idlewild Park..which presents all kinds of dogs and people in an open environment. We met him there twice and he switched up the technique to better suit Bell

Chris is absolutely amazing with what he does. The drive and passion he has for these dogs shows that it’s not just about a quick check. After having done only TWO training sessions with our Doberman puppy Tony, us as well as others have seen a complete turn around in his behavior. We had a pretty fearful husky-mix, and an excitable, friendly, cat-chasing, rott/pit mix...we needed help and quick. Met Chris when we were adopting our rott/pitty and started working with him shortly after. Chris opened our eyes to sooooo many things. Things we could start doing, things we should stop doing, and things we could adjust. After just 5 weeks, both dogs are now amazing on the leash! They don't pull or lunge and the leash is loose!! Our rott/pit is 1000x better with the cats now. They're both responding to training very well. And, I just watched our fearful husky/mix walk up to our adult daughter and give her kisses...1st time EVER in 1.5yrs. I can't say enough about Chris and how helpful and friendly he's been.
