Berkeley Humane

My cat received a vaccination at Berkley Humane on December 6. On the second day(today) after the vaccine, my cat developed swelling above the eye, persistent eye closure, and a gold reflection in the eye. I immediately contacted the clinic, but my concerns were dismissed and I was redirected to another clinic, which I could not reach. Prior to vaccination, my cat had no eye issues.(never) I am disappointed in the lack of proper follow-up care and hope the clinic addresses this issue promptly. UPDATE: After posting this review, a manager from Berkeley Humane contacted me and scheduled an “examination” for my cat at their Pinole location inside Petsmart 1380 Fitzgerald Drive at 3 PM. These people are amazing! So kind and gentle with my babies. I took my 2 kittens for their first shots and microchips at their free event. So impressed with how it was all done and taken care of. I plan to donate and volunteer in the future. All of the volunteers were professional and informative.

We found our additional family member. The experience was amazing.

There was an adoption event today. I brought home a little girl I named Chloe she's a little 8-week-old tuxedo cat. I wanted to say thank you to the Berkeley Humane Society for putting on this event and blessing me with my new companion.

I'm super disappointed with them. I recently adopted what I was told was a full grown 30lb dog. Very sweet, but terrified. I worked carefully and lovingly with her but the city sounds were obviously not for her. And she grew immediately numerous pounds and in height and was not house trained. Obviously a puppy who needed a home with a garden and kids, not a grandma in a studio. supposedly I could return her within 10 days which I attempted to do but they refused saying I had to contact the original intake shelter in Teams County, whenever that is. I don't even have a car. 2 days ago she developed extreme pain in her right foreleg and jaw. I tried calling them and although they posted they were open nobody answered not returned my calls.
