Belleville Area Humane Society

Nicest workers ever! we got to adopt this super silly guy today and not only was the adoption process fast we also got some free dog food, toys, leash, and a collar to take him home with. The adoption fee also included vaccinations and neutering making it very cost efficient for us. They also are a no kill shelter which is always amazing to see and know the animals are safe and taken care of :3

My kids and I cat ran away and never came back, so we went to Belleville Humane Society today and adopted a beautiful gray cat. The process was fast and easy, our cat is so beautiful and chill, we love her already. The staff was amazing, and patient from when I called to check on the adoption process to going in and adopting the same day! Thank you Belleville Humane Society for all that you do! Did I mentioned that our cat was sponsored and we didn’t have to pay to bring her home, we’re so grateful, I made sure I sent a donation!!!!

I adopted my sweet girl Georgia from the Belleville Humane Society June 13, 2023 ( Give or take a day, I don’t have my paperwork near me!). It was a friendly and easy atmosphere. I believe I came closer to closing time because I originally intended to stop by and put her old hold until Friday.I had already seen her online and hoped we’d get along and that I’d like her. I was informed that they no longer allowed holds anymore. I met with Georgia and I didn’t feel rushed. We spent some time together and I knew I wanted to adopt her. Even though I was shooting for Friday to get my stuff together, I adopted her that same evening. We’ve been best buds ever since. Thanks for making the experience less stressful than I thought It’d be!

My fiancé & I recently adopted two kittens from the Belleville Humane Society, a brother and sister, and we couldn't be more grateful. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient. They let me spend time getting to know the kittens in the playroom without rushing me at all, and were always nearby to answer questions and offer support. (Special shout out to Amanda!!) Not only was the staff amazing, but the Humane Society also made the adoption process so smooth and thoughtful. Both kittens were already microchipped, neutered/spayed, and up to date on all the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Going through some personal things that resulted in needing to give up my cat so he can have a better life. Was so nervous that I would be looked at like I’m a bad person but the process was easy and the guy who helped me was very kind. Made an awful situation a little bit better and I know my cat is in good hands.
