Bay Area Veterinary Hospital

I recently took my pug bestie, Hazel, to Bay Area Veterinary Hospital in Chester, MD to get updated on her shots and flea & tick meds, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the front desk staff to the vet techs and Dr. Hendler, everyone was so kind, professional, and clearly passionate about animals. The communication throughout Hazel’s visit was excellent—Dr. Hendler explained every step of the exam, discussed Hazel’s vaccines and preventive care plan, and made sure I understood what to expect next. The follow-up summary afterward was detailed and super helpful. It’s clear this team truly cares about their patients and takes pride in offering top-quality veterinary care to our local community. Kids friendly, there were snacks, water, juice in the waiting area. There were kids' books in the rooms. Everyone was gentle talking care of my cat and the doctor explained everything with clarity. I like the place!!

Nice office, friendly staff. Very short wait period for the appt. and to be seen once we arrived. Very supportive staff as they have called us 2-3 for follow up. We appreciate the TLC. Rocky Bo s the black shepherd on the right. Jaxx Marley crossed the Rainbown Bridge Christmas Eve 2023.

Great staff! Dr. Ewing is VERY KNOWLEDGABLE and provided excellent answers for all of my questions! Prices are SO MUCH less than I was paying at the previous vet and the staff don't make you feel rushed or unimportant. I would recommend Dr. Ewing to anyone who likes to know what is going on with their pet!

Meant to write this feedback a while ago, anyways just wanted to say a huge thank you to Dr. Ewing and the staff for the wonderful customer service they provided for us especially to our special big huge Great Dane Zeus who has an anxiety every time we are at the vet office. They were all gentle and always attentive with him. I would highly recommend this place. They always make sure that their clients are always taken care off.
