All in all a great experience from Start to finish for us. Justin was a huge help for us in picking out a carpet when we came there without knowing what we wanted or what was available. Barry’s was recommended by our contractor to install flooring after our home renovation. Vinyl was installed in our living room, kitchen, dining room and a hallway. The flooring was installed at the end of January 2025. They failed to level the floor before installing the vinyl flooring and never discussed options to level the floor before installing. We were told the floor would naturally conform to the sub floor. I’ve learned from talking to other several floor companies that this is not true. It actually voids the warranty on the floor material. The flooring was also installed wall to wall which is not recommended because floating floors need a small gap to expand and contract with the seasons. Our cabinets were then placed on top of the vinyl flooring(which we learned is also wrong).

I live in Freeport and was looking to spruce up the floors in my apartment. "Barry's My Carpet & Flooring" was recommended to me so I dropped by their place and met with Justin. Justin was very professional and sat down to go over details and pricing for sanding and staining my floors, new molding along the walls, as well as a new bedroom carpet. Justin and his crew worked for several days in a clean and professional manner to get the job done. It came out amazing!!! Kudos to Justin! I highly recommend Justin and his company to anyone who might get their floors or carpets done.
