Dr. Slomowitz is truly one of a kind. She always shows so much compassion and patience, even when your pet decides not to cooperate—which was definitely Zelda yesterday! After several gentle tries, Casey was so patient when she called to talk through the best way to help her, and we decided on a little sedation. It worked beautifully. Zelda was able to get her full exam, bloodwork, urinalysis, weight check, and even her pedicure without getting additionally stressed or scared. Every single person there makes the experience easier. Hannah and Rachel at the front desk are always so kind and welcoming. Gabi is an amazing vet tech, and Dr. Y has helped my other cats before—she’s just as wonderful and caring. My beloved Frenchi pup, just 2 years old, as active as a Jack Russell, screeched out when I went to pick him up and shortly after became unable to move anything from the waist down. Totally paralysis! I rushed him to Banfield panicked and in the dark as to why this was happening to him! The staff took him from my arms and brought him back to be examined by the Dr. I was blessed to have Dr Dennis who works out of the Westlake location. She explained what she strongly believed was what he was suffering from. IVDD. It is a very serious condition that has a low recovery rate without surgery. Dr Dennis understood my devastation being faced with a 2 year old dog that may never walk again. She was compassionate, honest and patient while I asked 45 minutes of questions so I could understand how I

For a large Pet hospital that is corporate, we have always had great experiences. Both of our pets have always been taken care of with great dignity and care. Worked with many of the doctors and care teams at both Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village locations. Recently our oldest dog Was suffering from different health issues and had to be put down. The team at the Westlake location, was amazing through the entire process. They were supportive with Bella till her passing. I highly recommend the Westlake Banfield and all their doctors and associates. Special thank to Doctor Slomowitz Who was Bella’s Primary doctor from six years to 16 years And now works with our other dog Baby. Ask questions of the staff and when they get busy Just be patient and they will help.

Banfield Westlake Village is great. While it is a very busy clinic, they always do their best to find appointments as soon as possible to meet the needs of their clients and the pet parents. We’ve been seeing Dr. Y for over a decade and I always recommend this office to friends. All the vets are amazing and Gaby the vet tech goes above and beyond. The front desk staff find the patience to deal with ringing phones, demanding parents and the motley crew of furry patients flooding the reception area. While nobody likes to have to take their pet to the vet, I always know my girls are in good hands. I appreciate the staff at Banfield Westlake Village and probably don’t say it enough.
