Almost Home Foundation

We just adopted the love of our life last week! Lincoln is a 5 year old poodle and so so so well matched with our family and lifestyle. He bonded very quickly with us and we can’t imagine life without him ever again. Hes sweet, mild mannered, well behaved, and so patient with our toddler. The process was smooth and easy with Stephanie. He was in a fantastic foster home, where he was very well taken care of and loved. We are so thankful we could give a loving home to a great dog!! We adopted Katalina 2 years ago today. She came from a 51 dog hoarding situation and was shy and skiddish. Guess what? She is still shy and skiddish and loved and spoiled and walked and treated like a princess. Her best friend is our rescued Beagle Spirit and she is the sweetest addition to our family. I loved working with Almost Home. The foster mom was so kind and went above and beyond to support our adoption. Please support this agency and the volunteers that make it happen.

We picked up our sweet boy Ozzy from Almost Home about 4 years ago after him and I clicked at an adoption show. He is the best thing to ever happen to me and I am so grateful that Almost Home took him in so that he could one day come home with me. Enjoy some pictures of our boy.

We adopted our cat Pearl from Almost Home Foundation in March 2025. After we submitted the application, AHF sent emails keeping us updated with the status of the application and what the next steps would be. When it came time to meet Pearl, AHF Sheila met with us at the foster's home. Pearl was extremely shy and anxious so we weren't able to really interact with her. We still wanted to bring her home and give her a chance to have a forever home. Sheila recommended foster to adopt to ensure that Pearl would feel comfortable with us and that she was a good fit for our family as well. We knew that we would do anything to help her feel at ease with us as long as it took. Volunteering at AHF has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I love the flexibility of when to volunteer, the community of volunteers, and of course, the chance to help the dogs and cats in their time of need. Our country needs to do better to ensure no animal (or human) experiences neglect or abuse, and volunteering here is one step in the right direction to create a better world for us all.
