Veterinary Emergency Group

Our little 1 year old puppy ate a penny. At first we weren't too concerned because penny's are small. After googling it and seeing how incredibly dangerous it is for animals because penny's minted after 1982 are primarily made of zinc and zinc toxicity can be fatal to the dog we went right to an emergency room. They induced vomiting but no luck. That clinic recommended VEG to have an endoscope used to try and grab it to pull it out. We called and they said bring her right over. They were right there at the door and incredibly friendly from the start. We loved the open/transparent floor plan and kept us informed the whole time! She was super stressed and nervous when the were inserting the port for a blood draw and to put her under and the doctor started doing a silly dance that tot

Caiou dog went into Veterinary Emergency Group, because of not eating. We were greeted by a staff who listened and had consideration for us. The prognosis became serious for Caiou, and we were soothed by Dr. Hayward, DVM. It was like being held in a storm. There was coffee available and easy listening music. The open atmosphere gave me peace of mind. Thank You So Much! It was very much worth the distance. ♥️

The staff at VEG in Schaumburg are amazing! My puppy Daisy swallowed a big piece of her toy and I called VEG before heading over. They were ready for us as soon as we arrived and they even helped me and Daisy through the front door and immediately started taking excellent care of my baby. I got to stay with Daisy the entire time and everyone was incredibly nice and comforting and the staff kept me informed throughout her treatment. I would absolutely go back to VEG and I recommend VEG to all of my friends and family. Thank you again, VEG!! We are so grateful for you!!

I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the incredible staff here. My bunny, Pixie, had a hot spot on her chin & she pulled at her fur until her skin opened. It’s hard to find a trustworthy veterinarian for rabbits, even in general practice; and it’s even harder in emergency because you don’t get the freedom to really scour through providers and fully vet them (haha). I was so worried that I wouldn’t find a caring veterinarian who would treat Pixie like their own pet. But Dr. Chernok and Adeana made both of us feel so comfortable and at ease. They did a very thorough examination, walking me through the whole process. I was able to watch as they treated her, and I really appreciated how patient and gentle everyone was with her. Carson also did a wonderful job. I have zero complaints! T

Not how I expected to spend my dog's birthday. However the people there were really nice and helped us right away. Minnie is doing good now and we're all happy. Dr. Carney and Shannon were great!
