My pet has been a client at Willow Run Pet Resort for approximately two years. On my most recent visit, I brought my pet in for grooming, expecting the same full-service grooming he has consistently received in the past. My pet was dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and was not ready for pickup until after 2:00 p.m., and only after I contacted the facility to check on his status. Upon pickup, I discovered that my pet had only received a bath rather than the full grooming service I expected. We left our Pug and our Frenchie there for a week. Since we had left them there before we had no worries about leaving them again. We showed up a day early from our trip and one of the girls up front said, “Oh you guys are a day early. I didn’t have time to bathe the Frenchie.” Which we thought was odd since usually they don’t get bathed unless you pay extra. When we saw our Frenchie we were in shock. Our Frenchie was covered in feces and she was terribly malnourished. She was skin and bones. The girl that worked there said, “She didn’t eat much. Our Muffin has been boarding here for over 2 years and we’ve been pretty pleased with the service here this far. Two months ago I called in and informed them that I’d be running a few minutes behind, one of the receptionist stated to me that that was okay. She stated that I wouldn’t be charged the late; however, once I arrived I was charged. The young ladies are very rude at times and there’s not an ounce of professionalism when addressing a customer concerns. I was frustrated due to their nonchalant attitude regarding the charge and their unwillingness to show any compassion for a customer that had already paid four days for boarding and was only about 15 or 20 minutes late. My baby girl first time staying away from home since I got her. She was stressed because it was her first time in a cage. The staff was very nice and friendly. I will use Willow Run Kennels again and they was recommended to me by my sister who was very pleased when her baby boy stayed with them.
