Westside Animal Hospital

Nellie Savidge has been our vet for close to 25 years. We use to live in Portland, Me, and now live in Berwick, Me. We have 5 dogs, and we still make the trip to see Nellie for our dogs. We never thought about changing vets when we moved. Nellie is worth the trip, and so is her staff. We have had many dogs in that time period, and Dr. Savidge has always taken a very down to earth approach with our pets. She is extremely caring , and takes her job very seriously. We appreciate her caring approach more than we can ever express. She has been a rare find for us.

I’ve been coming here for years, but most of all really enjoy Dr. Kate Ferrell. She has been a breath of fresh air since having bad experiences at other practices. Not only does she take the time to answer my questions, she goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is in the best of health. I have a highly reactive large dog that does not like the vet. Dr. Ferrell and her team make sure to make us as comfortable as possible and do their best to make sure Harlee knows she is not being threatened. I am not local to this vet and will only travel to this one. Thank you Dr. Ferrell for being you!

I have never experienced a vet so amazingly caring and patient. I have 8 cats and the treat each one according to their personality. They will truly do whats best for your pet and dont do anything unnecessary, and will explain every detail along the way. I travel past 5 vets to go here and would gladly pass 100. Can't say enough!!

Dr savage, dr Copp and dr Ferrell are all amazing and easy to talk to about the needs and diagnoses of your loved pets. They are knowledgeable and respectful The support staff are kind, friendly and a pleasure to work with Thank you all for your kind and wonderful service

Best vet, best people. We came here to follow our favorite Laura who had seen my dog Sam for over a decade. We’ve never felt more at home at a vet - their love for our dogs knows no limit, they have seen us for routine visits, emergencies and when we had to say goodbye to two senior dogs. Westside is professional and kind and we feel thankful to have our dogs go here. They make them feel comfortable!
