Waukee-Clive Veterinary Clinic

Our dog, Izzy, has been seeing the vets at Waukee-Clive for a few years now. Most recently, she has been having some back pain causing emergency situations. Dr. Paulson was more than amazing during our visit as well as follow ups with her. She has called each day to check in on Izzy which means the world to us. She has been diligent in getting referral care for us. We have also seen Dr. Gearhart for this issue in the past, and she was equally amazing in her care and compassion. Your pet is in safe hands here!

We live in Wisconsin, and were traveling to the Des Moines area for Christmas. Our dog mysteriously ripped her dewclaw loose on 12/24. We needed immediate vet attention & they were able to accommodate us on Christmas Eve! Everyone we encountered was professional and kind. The care our pupper received was top-notch. And the cost for the services was reasonable. Thank you!

Before reading my review of this, I don’t want it to come off as a negative review, but I do want to share how I felt about how everything was handled. My dog recently had some eye discharge after being at Paws and Pints, which seems to happen a lot lately. I just moved to the Urbandale area and was looking for a new vet, which is how I ended up at Waukee-Clive Veterinary Clinic. The staff, process, and overall experience was great and everyone was extremely kind to my dog, which I appreciated, but that’s not what this review is about. My review is focused on how his eye issue was handled. I arrived, explained the situation, and mentioned that this has happened in the past and that my old vet had provided eye drops that worked really well. Our dog gets very anxious when he is groomed and it is difficult to find someone willing to groom him. The staff at Waukee-Clive Vet Clinic is working to find the right combo of anti-anxiety meds to help our dog with this issue. They are so helpful.

This vet is so great. All the staff is polite and helpful. They are very knowledgeable here and have fair prices. We moved after a bad experience somewhere else and they are so welcoming. Will recommend to everyone!
