Wakarusa is by far the best veterinary care in Lawerence. The staff is welcoming, understanding, and focus heavily on education. When AJ here got a dental, not only did they email us a video of their procedures, processes, and facilities- she got red light therapy to help heal her gums, a complimentary nail trim. Been taking our cat and dog here for years and Dr. Amend has been so great. She’s very personable too! She has a true passion and shows that in her work. She will listen to your worries and is very very knowledgeable in her profession. Her empathy is shown strongly through the way she talks to the animals and families she works with. This hospital is filled with kind and understanding staff! Totally recommend.

There are not enough words to express the appreciation for the care my golden retriever received here over the last three years.
