Wagmore Canine Enrichment: Training Center

We adopted a 2 year old dog recently, who had been in the shelter for a long time, with little to no information about his history. It became quickly apparent that he was reactive toward pretty much everything - runners, cyclists, dogs, trucks, and buses. (No hate to the shelter, they were awesome and gave us as much information about him as they could!) We booked a consultation with Jerri at Wagmore to see what could be done for Darwen. We booked five weeks of training sessions, and Darwen made huge improvements pretty early on through Jerri's positive reinforcement methods. We have used Wagmore for training multiple rescue dogs over the years and they are absolutely the best!! Our dogs have come from sad and scary places and Wagmore has truly helped them have better lives and be better pets for us (anxiety, aggression, barking, leash walking, resource behaviors). We have completed the basic manners course and the puppy course and can't say enough great things! The classes are small and give lots of room for individual questions/tips and help specific to your dog. I felt like each teacher was very well trained and versed and made me feel confident and comfortable. The facility is great, it has a large open space and many training pieces to help your pet learn whatever the objective is. We have also used the doggy daycare and our puppy loved it! I felt like it

Off-putting experience. My dog was unable to complete her training sessions due to her coming down with kennel cough, so I informed Wagmore that we wouldn’t attend some sessions. I was aware of the no-refunds policy, but I never received any call back or attempt to work over zoom, as mentioned in the informational class. I’m sure they’re knowledgeable dog trainers, perhaps not as human-friendly! My dog did enjoy daycare at Wagmore, though.

Wagmore is by far the leader of positive reinforcement training in the area and the best place to take your pups for daycare or boarding. Staff are attentive to the needs of each pet. Your dogs will quickly become a member of the pack.

Amazing! They really know what they’re doing! It’s like learning magical dog training! Their ways, to teach dogs, are very easy for the dogs to learn/catch-onto and can eventually transition or branch off into other variations/uses of commands! And they do this amazing dog training without using any uncomfortable-for-dog corrections! ONLY positive reinforcement! I decided to only give 4 stars because I have no idea, one way or the other, about the parts of Wagmore. (other than the dog-training part)
