A few weeks ago our 10 year old dog, Bella, just crashed and burned and needed immediate medical attention. Because we live so far away, the closest emergency vet (with a good reputation) is in Bellingham. Between Thursday night and Saturday night, we have to bring her up the the B-Ham emergency vet 3 times. After the 3rd time, and her condition getting worse, I finally drove her down to VSC on Sunday morning. By the time I got her there, she was almost completely non-responsive. Knowing she needed immediate care, she was inprocessed through the ER with hopes of getting connected to the neurologist quickly. Because of her condition, she was admitted to stay in the hospital for a few days so the appropriate tests could be ran. She was able to be seen by the neurologist, Dr. Evans, first thi
The VSC staff were all great and got us right in to be seen after Mya was attacked by another dog. Dr. Vasquez was amazing! Her care with Mya was exceptional- I felt completely at ease with our senior dog in her care. She is fun and friendly and has great bedside manner. She does a great job explaining her thought process and the plan. Her prices were fair and there were no surprises or hidden fees. She even followed up on her day off to see how our animals were doing. The VSC was very busy but Dr. Vasquez still took her time with us to explain everything. Very pleased overall- thank you!!!
Our very ill Rosie was treated for horrible renal failure. She was so sick. All staff that we interacted with were so kind, compassionate and professional. The front desk staff was so very understanding , gentle and supportive. Katy, oh my- a tremendous asset to the facility! Dr’s Lamm and Duvall were so proficient in their care. We were guided through a very difficult situation and so supported when we said “enough”. I believe they knew up front that our Rosie probably would not survive, but they allowed us to make decisions. I still cry a lot but have some comfort in knowing that our baby was loved and even a favorite at the hospital. Also, reasonably priced for all that was done.
The staff were stellar. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I was very nervous with my sick pup and everyone put me at ease. Dr. Bissett was wonderful. She spent so much time reviewing everything about my pup. She knew everything about Copper Storage Disease. She was so reassuring and made me feel more positive that my pup’s life could be improved. Thank you all.
Recently my boy Mulligan had to have a foreign body removed from his stomach and small intestine. First we went to the blue pearl in Kirkland who transferred us to the veterinary speciality center of Seattle, in Lynnwood. As soon as we got there they took him straight back to start tests and prep for surgery and he was going under the knife within hours. Their skilled surgeons were able to retrieve the foreign body without cutting his intestines which is a huge deal as far as positive prognoses go. I was extremely anxious due to my own very traumatic medical history and all the staff, especially Doctor Ando was extremely kind, empathetic and understanding allowing me to spend extra time with Mulligan pre and post surgery. He went home quickly and despite being 10 years old has been healing
