They promptly informed the doctors, and the kitten was taken in and placed under immediate care. Since I chose to cover the expenses and stay throughout the process, I witnessed firsthand the dedication of the team. She underwent Radioactive Iodine (I-131) therapy to treat her hyperthyroidism, a condition that was previously managed with medications that caused brutal side effects, including daily vomiting. The I-131 treatment was a game-changer—it completely cured her hyperthyroidism, and she no longer requires any medication. We had to put our 16nuear old Beagle, Lucy down last Sunday. The front desk personal were super compassionate and caring. The gentleman who did the procedure was extremely compassionate as was the female Vet on call that day. I highly recommend this facility. They are top notch!!!

I brought my dog in because she had a really bad cough. My pet is my family, my baby and I am very selective about who I let care for her. I wasn’t disappointed with the care she received at veterinary referral & Emergency Center of Westbury. Everyone was kind and she was diagnosed quickly.
