Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

This was my first time visiting this location. Upon arriving the "receptionist" greeted me and took initial info. Was lead into a exam room.. Then received a text with their treatment plan. Have not seen a vet. How do you put together a treatment plan without an exam . Plan was a very overpriced plan. $422.00 !! You have not even examined my dog !!! Receptionist tried to convince me to have treatment plan. Said my dog could die if I did not get the heartworm treatment.. SCARE tactic. Expressed concern about my pet scratching at her ear. Took dog away to get rabies vaccine. 3 minutes later Dr Shine came in to tell me to the vaccine was given . Asked her about the ear scratching . She said the ear was pink and was scratching because my dog was anxious. Explained that she does it at home whe

Everyone was cordial and welcoming. The doctor was knowledgeable and accommodating. She suggested five items I couldn't address due to lack of funds so what she did do made a huge difference in LoLa's health as she stopped scratching and takes her medicine. There were no refills on the one she ordered as a maintenance med so I'll have to call for refills.,The only issue I had was she wrote that my doggie was "unkept" and ", aggressive" but she was feeling so bad that she came across negatively. Don't you get grouchy when you're not feeling well?? All in all it was a positive visit and we'll have to address the other five tests one at a time as the pocketbook allows

The main doctor is disgustingly rude. The one with the bald head. HES RUDE. I brought my cat in and the main doctor started yelling at me saying I need to get a rabies shot for my cat as I’m sitting in the lobby. I wasn’t even in the exam room. It was embarrassing. My cat is an inside cat, I understand the rabies shot is important for the vets and for their safety but the way he spoke to me was as if he wasn’t even talking to another human being. I get into the exam room and the lack of care that came from the main doctor was horrible. The nurse was so nice and I honestly felt bad for him because the main doctor just seems like such a pain to work with. I am in the exam room now and the main doctor keeps going on and on about the rabies. He literally said “if your cat jumps on my head and

I've had positive experiences in the past at this location, which is why I'm giving a 2 star review. However, after the visit today, I will not bring my cats back to this location. My cats had their immunizations done at this location last October and I brought all my cats medical records from my last vet who is now retired. I opted for the 3 year rabies vaccine in 2024. One of my cats is there often as he's had a lot of medical issues. I even got vital care rewards. I brought my cats today to get an updated prescription for the Science Diet food they are on. I was told they were due for rabies. I pushed back because they had the three year rabies last year. They said their records (they got the shot at this location last year) showed only one year. The PetCo Tech was welcoming & professional. However, the vet who came in was in a hurry and obviously annoyed about something. We had a confirmed set time & appointment. We had arrived well on time so we could not have been the cause of her being rushed. Our dog was well behaved. Overall the vet’s demeanor could not be described welcoming or engaged. Likely will not return to this location
