Vet Big Lake Area Veterinary Hospital

I brought my dog in for an ear issue shortly after moving from California, where foxtails are common. The first visit on January 30 cost $291 total, including the $80 exam fee along with testing and labs for urine. I was told they couldn’t clearly see the bottom of her ear and recommended waiting before examining deeper because they had removed hair and the ear was irritated. I trusted that recommendation. A month later, my dog still had the exact same symptoms. Nothing had improved, nothing had changed, and there were no new developments. When I followed up, I was told the next step would be another visit, which of course includes another $80 exam as part of the appointment. I recently added a kitten to my household. Dr McAlpin, Dr Ashton, and techs Jordyn, Rae, and Sarah were awesome. I had so much anxiety and so many questions about food and introducing the kitten to my older cat who is a lunatic. They showed some much patience. Highly Recommend!!

This is by far the best vet I have ever been to. One of our favorite employees is Jordan. She is compassionate and truly cares about every animal that comes through the door as well as the owner. I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars!! They're the best!!

I have Been a customer for several years and they don’t disappoint! I have had several large dogs live past 13 and I owe it to their knowledge and expertise. They care about all pets and owners and are very compassionate and friendly. Their full schedule goes to show they have many returning customers that feel the same way I do.
