Our dog Rosie had a very scary emergency visit to VCA and stayed for a few days. We thought we were going to lose her but she made it home thanks to their care. All the staff we met were incredible in their service and loved on her during her time there. Every doctor and vet tech was dedicated to what they were doing and really took the time to make sure our girl was well taken care of got the care she needed. Thank you to all the workers at VCA!
Absolutely beautiful place to take your sick fur child to. Our 12 year old baby Matcha developed an abscess. She's a indoor cat with her brother. We noticed she started having some breathing issues and thought it was an infection so my husband drove to West Hartford VCA. He was met by kind hearted and compassionate professional staff members who received Matcha with warmth and care. It was Friday evening and there were only two fur babies before Matchas turn. They saw Matcha quickly and Doctor William Morris came to speak to my husband about the results. This doctor really cares about the fur children. Dr. Morris showed much compassion and care while informing my husband that Matcha has Cancer and said she had around two weeks at best without conventional medicine. The doctor informed us
We brought our beloved dog Honey to the ER vet on the night of Dec 18, 2025 after her health began declining rapidly. We were brought in very quickly and seen. We were advised it be best to leave her there over night so she could get testing done (blood work, ultrasound, etc). Honey was reactive so we were worried leaving her, but realized she was in the best place possible given her health. We were called a little later that night by the vet and given updates on how she was doing which was very helpful for us. The next day (I won't go into detail) we were told what the cause of her decline was. After everything was explained to us and weighed our option, we ultimately had to make a decision based on what her quality of life would be. We decided it would be best for Honey to help her pas
We brought our sweet girl to the animal hospital hoping for answers and left facing the most devastating news imaginable — cancer. The team walked us through every finding with clarity, compassion, and patience, never rushing us, never minimizing the weight of what we were hearing. They gave us space to process, to cry, to ask questions, and to simply sit with the reality that our time with her was suddenly very short. After a sleepless and heart-wrenching night, we returned the next day to make the impossibly difficult decision to let her go peacefully. It was gut-wrenching. There are no words for how hard that moment was. But through every second of it, the staff was extraordinary...gentle, respectful, and deeply compassionate. They treated her with dignity and treated us like family. Th
*0 STAR* I want to add to the 1 star reviews by starting with(wish i could do a 0 star review). Don't bring your dog here for anything serious. We arrived with our dear pup of 13 years. He was having difficulty breathing. He was diagnosed with cancer by are vet the prior morning and given medication. We were informed to bring him in if he got worse. He got worse and this was the closest place. We called and stated that we're coming in to start the euthanizeing process. They have no regard for anyones situation or feelings. We arrived and spoke with the receptionist. She preceded to take her sweet time, had nails that restricted and slowed her typing, and didn't seem to have any care that the conversation was about euthanizeing. As we was speaking to the receptionist we had to repeat ours
