We first went to VCA for a second opinion on treatment for our aging, ill kitty, and we're so thankful we did. Together, we found a treatment plan focusing on quality of life and less intervention The staff at VCA treated her with such dignity and diligence through the end of her life, and I'm sincerely grateful. We decided to transfer our other cat, Georgie, to VCA after that experience. VCA has been fair and transparent about pricing. The staff has excellent communication and client engagement. They’re realistic about treatment options and outcomes, while also being incredibly attentive and proactive. For example: Dr. Smith picked up on subtle signs that something wasn’t quite right with Georgie and uncovered early kidney issues that we are able to address before they became more serio

Dr. Smith and her team took excellent care of my new rescue schnauzer Kyoshi. Dr. Smith was very communicative and addressed all my concerns thoroughly. She walked me through all treatment options and found the most cost effective care plan to keep my baby safe & healthy. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends and family.

We travel from Durham to bring our dog here because of the excellent care she receives. As the owner of an anxious dog, vet trips can be stressful for me and for her, and VCA Parkway vets and techs have been incredibly patient with my pup. They are gentle, never push her past her limits, and seem to truly care about creating the best experience possible. We have also boarded with them several times, they are great about providing us with updates on how she’s doing which puts our minds at ease while we’re away. They are always excited and enthusiastic when she walks in the door. While my dog will never truly love the vet, she does love the people there and that’s what matters.

From the front desk to seeing Dr Smith, our visit was wonderful. Going in with 2 big dogs can be a lot. Everyone was helpful and Dr Smith was knowledgeable and very detailed. We are thankful that we found this office.

Dr. Smith and her team took amazing care not only of my dogs, but of me as the dog Mom. I didn't realize how much I was struggling to take care of them and Dr. Smith was so concerned, caring, and nonjudgmental of my situation. She even had a team member reach out afterwards to offer help. Between the incredibly thorough exam and detailed follow up paperwork, I am incredibly grateful to have found this office.
