VCA Merrimac Animal Hospital

Thank you to the entire staff for not only getting us seen. We had been at the park when my boy passed bloody stool. Our current vet was closed and the Emergency vet didn't open until 10pm. Without hesitation they got him in. Everyone was so kind and I left having answers I'd been searching for. They even called several days later to check on him and to let me know they were there if I needed anything. Im beyond pleased with our care

I had to have my 14.5 yr old pitbull "Puppy" put to sleep and took him to VCA and I am soooo grateful I did. They were ALL sooooo compassionate and sweet to my baby. They all loved on him with me the whole time and it was like it was 1 of their own pets....it's was absolutely amazing. AND....it only took like 5-10 SECONDS. LITERALLY! The vet gave him the sedative and laid him down and gave him the potassium chloride or whatever it is and literally within 5 seconds he was gone. Boom....just that fast. Which made it soooo much easier for him and me. I CANNOT THANK Y'ALL ENOUGH AND I CANNOT ENCOURAGE EVERYONE READING THIS ENOUGH....IF U NEED A GOOD VET.....DO UR BABIES A FAVOR ......THESE PEOPLE SINCERELY CARE ABOUT UR PET.

Highly recommend by my son who kennels his dog here. The staff is very friendly and loves what they do. They also provide information on your pets feeding, toilet information and ensure you pet get its medication if needed. Just an all round present experience I believe.

The staff was wonderful! We were camping 20 minutes up the road, when our dog ripped his nail half off. They got us in asap as we were not local and got him fixed up. They let us bring our other dog in with us to the appointment. Also, they let us hang out in the parking lot, while we waited for our baby boy to get out of his procedure. They were so pleasant and understanding. Our little man is doing so much better! Thank you!

Great place to board your dog. The staff all know my dog by name and seem to truly enjoy spending time with him. I feel good knowing he’s safe at VCA! The price is good for the area as well. Can’t recommend this place and their boarding staff enough.
