Dr. Thigpen has been caring for my puppy, Topaz, since he was just 5 lbs. Now at 15 months old and 91 lbs, she’s still the one I trust most with his care. She’s kind, patient, and always takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer my million and one questions. What I love most is how gentle and attentive she is with him- Topaz actually loves his visits (maybe a little too much, lol). It’s clear she truly cares about her patients and their families. The whole team at VCA Herndon-Reston is wonderful, too- they spot Topaz from the parking lot and line up to give him pets. I really appreciate that, especially since he’s a big American Bully and people often shy away when they see him. They always follow up after visits to make sure everything is okay, and that means a lot. Dr. Thigpen and the staff took wonderful care of Oso, and I felt confident he was in the best hands. We've been using this vet office for several years, mostly booking with Dr. Rutar and Dr. Thigpen. Both have given fantastic care to our three dogs. The staff seems to really care about both the patients and the owners. We recommend this office and will continue visiting!

Our first time here with our 2 Frenchies and the staff was great! We loved Dr. Thigpen, she was attentive and interactive with examining our boys. Dr. Thigpen was a true delight! Martina the veterinary tech was also great! She was very knowledgeable and our boys loved her. We are happy to to have this VCA as our new healthcare provider for our precious dogs.
