VCA Foxon Animal Hospital

I made an appointment for routine vaccines and an exam for my cat. The kind and competent vet I had for my last 2 visits had left the practice, so I requested a vet other than one I had once a few years before. The new vet detected a heart murmur and diagnosed hyperthyroidism. This vet's tech brought my cat out after drawing blood yelling at me because she was unable to do a nail trim because apparently an 8.4 lb. cat not feeling his best had it in for her (seriously). My cat had a lot of vomiting on a Sunday about 4 or so weeks into his meds. I called the next day. The vet asked me if she could move up his appt to get another blood test and an anti-nausea med though she was unable to be there. I complied. At that appt her tech spat out the results at me, stating repeatedly how dangerous

Today was my first time there and I’m so happy to went there. My dog Nina is a 6 years Golden-doodle so I chose the Care-club program and I only paid 73.00 instead 362.00 . Dr. Schmidt is a excellent vet, she explained everything to me and she has a lots of patience. The receptionist Amanda was very nice and the vet assistant too. The place is clean and no bad odors. They have air purifier in the dog ‘ exam rooms .😃 I recommend this place !

“Lazy” care at best but I’d go so far as to say neglectful. After being “treated” 2x for pneumonia at VCA Foxon, my dog came down with it a 3rd time. Called them for an appointment and they told me that he needed to see a specialist but it was the weekend so I brought him to the ER. Doc at ER told me it keeps coming back because it wasn’t treated properly the first two times and he would have prescribed antibiotics for 6 weeks (vs the 2 weeks they gave him). At the new vet I switched him to they said the same thing. When I made a complaint to VCA they took no accountability and the medical director at VCA Foxon was extremely rude and condescending. Cared more about being right than the health of my dog. Told me she was “offended”. I had been going there for 6 years before this and didn’t h

They are so nice and they made sure that my car was comfy.

Nice vet hospital but their main concern is the cash in your bank account. Vets are only fairly knowledgeable . I've seen better and more professional ones in central vet hospital in Hamden ct. I wish I took my cat there from the get go. She may still be alive..im filled with guilt
