I want to share my experiences over the years with Shore Haven. As a Ferret owner finding an exotic specialist is far and few. I have felt much more security knowing that Dr .F was close to home and that I could be a responsible ferret owner with the guidance being so accessible. Today I had to put my Ferret down as I do have to share that Dr . F had visited a couple options so that I could have some extra time with my sassy. What I do respect is after a few visits and a few check ups today was the decision that was made by the team that euthanasia would be the best option.. Dr. F has a gentle bedside manner . Everyone I met was really kind and patient and took their time to answer questions, make my pet comfortable and let me wait for test results which I appreciated because this probably delayed them from preparing the room for other patients/clients. I live in Hamden but drive out to this clinic because of how they treat me and my pets and I usually do not have to wait long for an appointment. I think I’ve seen a few different doctors and across the board they have all been very knowledgeable, reasonable with recommendations and patient with my dogs and cats. Dr. Coins is amazing. He has a comforting and informative bedside manner and he is so good at communicating. He shows that he really cares about my dog and works with you to come up with the next steps. He is truly meant to be a vet. I am so glad to have found him for our dog. The front desk staff are also super nice and helpful.

First time at this Office. I can't say more about the care and services provided for my dog Noodle. You feel like your pet is the only patient. Communication is excellent, every text and email is answered promptly. The online site is easy to access. The office procedures are reasonable, and their pharmacy is cheaper than Ped Meds, by far. I will be recommending them to all my Pet Parents. Dr Coins is very thorough, and explains all issues and the staff is friendly and very accommodating.

I have had animals my entire life and out of all the vets, this is the best one. It's bright and cheery and doesn't have that "vet" smell. Everyone is so amazing and kind!
