I have been going to VCA City Cats for over 5 years and my partner has been coming for almost a decade. I trust every doctor in this practice implicitly. I have gone to each one and had amazing experiences. Dr Nannig helped me get my elderly cat to age 18 and she was helped to the very last second. It was a beautiful ending and not a sad one because I knew she was being loved by each tech and Dr Nannig. Dr Leavey I now go to for my two older boy rescue cats and she is so thorough with their extensive medical history that it’s refreshing when she has a game plan for them. One is currently dealing with cancer and they have helped us each step of the way. He’s stopped being so sick, gaining weight, and his zest for life has returned at the age of 15. I have been going to VCA City Cats with my cat Bear since I adopted her at age 17 in 2021. Now, Bear is 22 years old and visits City Cats nearly every month for old-age care. I wouldn't trust any other vet with taking care of my precious cargo! Dr Leavey is unmatched and makes my husband and I feel so listened to and valued during our appointments. She and the rest of the techs are excellent with Bear, even though she can get a bit feisty if we don't give her gabapentin! Dr Leavey is always sensitive to both my budget and Bear's specific health needs when recommending interventions for Bear. For example, each appointment we discuss things like X-rays and evaluate how I feel about doing that with such an old cat. It makes us feel involved and heard! Since becoming a cat mom I’ve been to three vets. VCA is the best by a mile. I know my cats are well cared for and really appreciate the steps they take to make everything free fear. Dr. Palopoi and Dr. Nannig treat my babies like their own. Even when faced with a hard decision I know I can trust them.

I want to warn people to be careful with this provider after an experience that felt, at best, inexperienced and at worst, predatory and irresponsible. I brought my 6-month-old kitten in for a minor scratch. While there, I mentioned she’d been itching around her face and had a runny nose. The vet immediately suggested food allergies and told me both of my cats should start a specific diet. Before I left, they sold me expensive food and signed me up for a delivery program - without mentioning it was a subscription. Something felt off about the mildness of the symptoms and the magnitude of the response, so I decided to wait for a second opinion. The next vet told me my kitten was far too young to have a food allergy at all. He offered a few likely, harmless explanations and simple changes

The doctors and staff at VCA City Cats gave excellent care for my cat with an ear infection. She was seen the same day, given a full exam, an ear cleaning and was discharged with medication that helped. The next day they called me to make sure she was feeling better. She is thanks to the compassionate care of the staff and doctor.
