⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience with Dr. Thornton and the entire team. Dr. Thornton was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly compassionate with my dog. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable and confident with the care plan. You can genuinely tell he cares about her patients and treats them like family. I also want to give a special shoutout to Rose at the front desk—she was so kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we walked in. She made scheduling and check-in easy and always greeted us with a smile. If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is professional, caring, and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Thornton and her team. We’re so grateful to have found them! 🐾💙

We went in because our dog wasn’t feeling well. We unfortunately had to put him down the same day. The entire staff was so sweet and amazing through the whole process. The tech, Megan, was so patient and sweet. Dr. Thornton was fantastic and very thorough with the results of our dog’s bloodwork. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic! From getting us in last minute, to the care and patience they have us, they made a tough day a little lighter.

We have been going to this location ever since my dog was sick and I could not get anyone to answer the phone to make an appt at the 1604/Potranco location and honestly Dr Thornton is better than the doctor at the other location. She was able to diagnose my dog with pancreatitis and get her feeling better within a week where we thought we were going to lose her. We were able to love on her for another two years before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Fast forward to now, a dog was dumped in our neighborhood playground and I was able to get her to trust me and my husband enough to come home with us. We took her to see Dr Thornton to get checked out and make sure she doesn’t have any major health problems. The dog had to be muzzled because she wasn’t very happy about being poked and prodded b

Where do I even begin. Worst experience I’ve had at a Vet, easily. I wish there was a negative stars option. We bought our dog here for an appointment on 10/1/25 because he had been throwing up his food, loose bowels, and appetite loss. My wife went and spoke with Dr. Erica Thorton and described the details of what had been going on to which the consensus was that the appetite loss was possibly behavioral. While talking to Dr. Thornton, she was very short with my wife, was condescending in tone while asking my wife his exact eating habits, bowel movement frequency etc, as almost to insinuate that we weren’t being truthful about the details being described. We were offered antibiotics, probiotics and meds to stop the vomiting and given a quote to do further testing if conditions worsened.

The checkup that my cat received was horrible. My parents took my cat here because she wasn’t eating and when they mentioned that they researched what our cat might have and what she needed, the vet became annoyed and angry. She was rude to my parents and didn’t thoroughly treat our cat. They treat you more as a client than a human whose pet needs help. Guess what happened, my cat ended up dying in the next 2 weeks because she most likely had cancer. The emergency vet took better care of my baby than Vanguard. I felt overall that Vanguard did not have compassion towards my cat the way we wanted them to. Overall, DO NOT come here if you want your pet to be better taken care of!
