Valley Animal Haven

I personally love this place. I've meet nothing but the kindest, most thoughtful, and hardworking people here. I've helped with volunteering here and with fostering with the animals they have. The hard hours and grueling work they do day in and out would make a normal person stagger. I've seen them treat and care for animals on the brink of death back to full health and finding a good fit for a forever home. Personally, I would recommend stopping in even if you arent looking to adopt but to just see the amazing work they do everyday.

The staff at this rescue were friendly in person, and I appreciated their kindness during the adoption process. However, my post-adoption experience raised serious concerns. I was told both verbally and in writing that I had seven (7) days to notify the rescue of any medical issues. Within that seven-day period, I notified them in writing that my newly adopted Persian cat developed yellow eye discharge, squinting, and signs concerning for an eye infection, which is not typical Persian tearing. I also notified the rescue of my concerns regarding delayed or limited access to medical treatment, as prompt veterinary care is important to prevent unnecessary suffering. If you know of anybody who can get a commercial washer and/or dryer to them that would be great. Understanding that animals all over the nation, the world, are at these shelters needing extra help. We adopted our dog from this shelter in June of 2020 and they were SOOOO helpful and accommodating (we had to drive there from the coast). They really want the best for all their animals and help to ensure you get paired up with the right animal. We would definitely adopt from them again!

Love my cat. I apoted him over half a year ago! Best place to go. Friendly staff. Would I go back? Yes I did go back! Will share later in another time. Thank for adding another member to the family!
