Emerson, my beagle, has been having some tummy issues that seemed to be getting better...until they weren't. I learned about Urgent Animal Care through Emo's doggy daycare, Fur-Get Me Not, so I hopped online and scheduled an appointment. We were literally met at the door by Maria and immediately escorted into a very comfortable exam room where were joined shortly by Josh, our vet tech, who was friendly and thoroughly took Emo's medical history and walked me through what to expect. Dr. O'Keefe was our vet and was equally kind and thorough. While we met, Megan was working on the fecal sample I brought in, so we were able to rule out a number of things immediately. As a result, Dr. O'Keefe was able to better tailor a treatment plan. And then Josh was back to go over the discharge instru

Had an extremely wonderful experience here with my dog Brownie! I found her coughing one day and brought her to the urgent care thinking it might be something choking her. I called on my way and was greeted by a technician once I parked to quickly evaluate her life signals. Once realized she’s not in danger, the doctors assessed and concluded its kennel cough. Everyone, from the assistant to the doctor were super friendly and patient! We came back later several days as her cough didn’t went away. Instead of over treating her using antibiotics like I suggested, doctor explained all the reason why she doesn’t need antibiotics or x ray right now, and refilled our cough tablets without charging a full visit fee. The entire experience is very positive with kind, supportive, knowledgeable staf

Two weeks ago, my service dog suffered a serious paw injury. At the time, I had to decline treatment at another emergency vet due to affordability—we had no insurance, and as a disabled person living on a tight budget, I thought I could manage his wound care at home with prescriptions. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, and by the time we sought help again, his paw was severely damaged, with exposed bone. With the assistance of the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, we were referred to Urgent Animal Care of Arlington, and I cannot express enough gratitude for what we experienced there. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided a calming, private, and respectful environment. Dr. Gordon, Brittney, Josh, Alexia, Elias, and Adam from AWLA met us where we could afford care, and they t

Dr. Abato, Josh, Eli and Brittney were amazing! They really took their time explaining things to me on how to care for my dog. I really felt taken care of and not rushed. They thoroughly explained everything and I'm grateful to have had this experience with this amazing team. Honestly the price was what I expected it to be with a broken toe but the team honestly makes up for it in value for service. Thank yall again for being so awesome and I hope not to see you guys again soon(in a good way) lol.

I had to take my Siberian Husky here on a Thursday morning after her eye began swelling up randomly. She hates the vet and I usually have to give her a double dose of Trazadone before going, but we had a wonderful experience at Urgent Animal Care of Arlington even without drugs. Brittany (a fellow husky mom <3) and Dr. O'Keefe were kind and patient and made sure my sweet girl was as comfortable as possible while they were poking around in her eye. They both clearly and easily explained the routine process they would follow and the tests they would perform so I was at ease, which made my girl at ease. The examination room was also clean, comfortable, and soothing, and since Brittany and Dr. O'Keefe knew that my girl hates the vet, they performed the tests in the examination room with me ins
