Dogma Bakery - Village at Shirlington

So happy to have discovered dogma! To celebrate our one year old puppy/now big girl, we wanted to make it special but finding a dog bakery nearby started out pretty difficult. Thankfully I found Dogma and their perfectly sized doggie birthday cakes and party packs! Millie had a great time turning one with special treats just for her :)

I bought a small cake for my mini dachshund’s first birthday. It was so cute and clearly tasty since she gobbled it down. The store has a wide variety of food toys, beds and snacks so we picked up a few birthday presents while we were there. We will definitely be back and recommend the store to pet owners in the area. Outstanding local pet business! I stopped by to buy something nice for our dog’s birthday that was affordable, and they have many options, including,”cake tops” (when available) Which comes from leveling off a layer cake. She loves these so much. It was the biggest hit. Also was happy to know that when they have room, they can take dogs For nail cutting which I really need for our larger rescue dog. Haven’t done that yet, but check them out online Their training and longevity with this company, and this field of dog grooming was really impressive.

I have interacted with Dogma the last two weekends visiting Shirlington! The weekend before last they helped host an amazing pet adoption event! So many happy pets and pet parents. Really melts the heart! This past weekend I stopped inside and got some tummy friendly cheese treats for my husky! She loves them, so did my neighbor dogs and they loved her tummy! Such a great experience.

I absolutely LOVE bringing my dog here for him to get groomed. Because it’s a smaller business there’s a lot more intimacy which makes me feel a lot more comfortable asking questions, and knowing that my dog isn’t stuck in a crate for hours. My puppy is a super nervous pup and she takes her time to make sure my little guy is comfy and that he always looks his cutest. His cuts are always perfect and she also gives me great advice about how to care for his super curly hair at home! I love the more personal vibe at Dogma, everyone is always super nice!!
