My name is rocky im difficult dog I’m so thankful to the wonderful team at Caring Hands Animal Hospital! They took such amazing care of my dog during and after his neutering surgery. Everyone was so gentle, professional, and kind — they truly treated him like family. The staff kept me updated, explained everything clearly, and made sure he felt comfortable and safe. I could really feel how much they care about animals. Thank you for giving my little one the best care possible! Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets ❤️🐶

I'm witing this review after we received a Certificate of Remembrance for our late cat, Bo, from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine that Caring Hands made in Bo's name following his passing. This means so incredibly much to us, I had to write this before I forgot. My husband and I truly believe we got another great year with our Bo (from age 14 to 15.5!!!!) thanks to the incredible care he received at Caring Hands for his hyper thyroidism (& some other issues). Bo was a slight little anxious old man, and everyone who cared for him, from the vet techs to the doctors, were absolutely incredible and gentle with him and we know he was so comfortable with them at every checkup and bloodwork appointment. Went on the advice from a neighbor who raved about them and she was right … great place , great staff , great doctor! My dog is a big German shepherd who is loud and not great with other dogs … and they maneuvered us through the lobby to avoid any confrontation’s. Made my stress level non existent . Tech gave my boy plenty of treats while a biopsy was taken on a lump and within one or two days we had the results that it wasn’t cancer And given options if we did need to remove the cyst for any reason …

We’ve been going to Caring Hands Animal Hospital since June of 2012 and they, by far, are the best in the DMV area! Dr. Maxey was wonderful! She took her time to explain her exam findings and options for care of my pets.

Dr. Brooks worked with my Tibetan Spaniel, Tara for nearly 2 years helping to re-condition herTara had been physically abused by her long-term vet during the COVID CRISIS, so I wasn’t allowed to go inside to supervise and help coax Tara to be somewhat trusting of our new vet, Dr. Brooks. Tara has gone from a a timid trembling pup to one that want to play with her, wagging, doing play bows, and happy to see her. I’m not saying that Tara is over all of her fears, but we have come a long way, for sure. And I have high hopes we will continue to improve Tara’s experiences with Dr. Brooks. It takes time -/ more time— and we will continue to improve. With Dr. Brooks!!!
