The best shelter! So nice, so kind to the animals, I got three wonderful kitties from them now and I could not be happier! Changed my life and theirs! adopting animals is the best. You cannot go wrong with this shelter!

This place is wonderful. The adoption supervisor Andy was kind, helpful and flexible. He is more than willing to ensure that you are happy and the animal is going to a safe home that is willing/ able to care for them. I adopted a female kitten and the process was straightforward and worth it.she is so sweet and perfect for my family. I drove 3-4 hours to adopt from here and it was worth it. I observed and strongly feel that everyone in this place works very hard for these animals. It is clean, professional and all animals are comfortable. The costs of adoption were worth it for the vaccinations and the spay/neuter that they receive. I highly suggest coming here if interested in adopting and donating to support everything that they do!

We had been looking for over a year before we stopped in Ulster County SPCA on a whim while in town. It was the 4th of July & the shelter was officially closed. Even so, they interviewed & approved us then took their time introducing us to their dogs. We couldn’t be happier with our dude Po’ Boy & I think about how grateful I am to them everyday! 10/10 recommend. based.

I rescued a sick dog recently. Despite being closed to the public that day, the staff stayed late to wait for me to make the 45 minute drive with the dog. I've also used their clinic services for TNRs; never had a bad experience. Everyone is always kind, informative, and professional.

I brought my dachshund Hershel here to get neutered- having 5 other dogs, I have never used the Ulster County SPCA and wish I had! Not only is it super affordable, the staff, namely Clarissa (Clarice? Honestly- I forget!) was so super nice and friendly and pleasant and explained everything! I felt totally at ease dropping him off and left with zero questions. He was neutered, microchipped, tested for heart worm, had his ears cleaned and his nails trimmed for $230. How can you beat that!! I was quoted over $700 at two other vets! I highly recommend this establishment and I want to thank the entire staff for a great experience.
