Had a Great long conversation with James this morning concerning a behavioral issue with 1 of my pets. He actually gave me enough information that made me feel like I am doing everything as best as I can in order to keep teaching/training my dog the right way. Its just going to take a lot of time, which I have and want to do. He advised me also if I want the training that he provides it was up to me and to let him know. I would recommend him to anyone in need of training their pet he clearly explains everything in detail. Thank You James for all the information you have given me I appreciate it !

Do not hesitate to send your dog here. We researched so many different places, and many of them use harmful shortcuts. Not Jim. Jim is the trainer of trainers and he LOVES. DOGS. His passion and deep experience is so clear. Goose came home happy, healthy, and significantly more obedient and patient. He's more attentive, more receptive to training sessions, and much better on leash. And of course, as Jim helped educate us, we have to continue the work from here. We can't wait to send Goose back for boarding and will be forever grateful for Jim's generosity, kindness, and lasting impact on our little family. ❤️

I only stumbled upon Jim because he happens to be located minutes from my home in Kingston, NY, but people come from all over to have their dogs trained by him or to purchase his responsibly bred and trained guard dogs. My little cocker/lab, Jack knows Jim well as I sent him to board and train with Jim last Fall, and he has been back to visit since then. Jack is not learning to be a protection dog. Jim also trains dogs to have good manners and to become wonderful home companions. My Jack is a little handful for me, but he became such a joy to be around after spending time with Jim and his pack. Whenever Jack hears Jim’s voice over the phone or in a Facebook video, he comes to see right away, little tail wagging! We are both happy, not only with Jim’s training, but with his lifetime foll

Jim at Acadia Canine Academy is amazing! He really cares about the dogs and their owners, which makes all the difference. We’ve worked with Jim on bite work and board-and-train, and his commitment and care have stood out the whole time. He keeps us updated with training videos, so we always know how Finn is doing. Finn loves spending time with Jim and the rest of the crew at Acadia Canine Academy. I couldn’t recommend Jim more! He gave Finn his first "breath of life" and will always be his biggest fan. We’re so glad we found Acadia Canine Academy!

We have an 8 month old Doberman Pinscher named Rosie who spent one month training with Jim at Acadia K9. We are beyond happy with the obedience training that Rosie received, she is a completely different pup. Our expectations were beyond surpassed by Jim and his team! The home environment that Jim offers was something that meant a lot to us. Leaving your puppy for a month is definitely an adjustment for you as well as them, so to know she was comfortable was reassuring. Jim sent us many video updates which offered a peek inside the training process. It was nice to be able to keep track of Rosie’s progress and be able to see her hard work. Jim is very knowledgeable about not only dog training but also the psychology of a dog. He taught us many things about our pup that will help her live a
