TruVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital

I find it to be exceptional on many levels. I always leave my appointments with a thorough understanding of what my pets needs are and how I am to care for her. The staff is always well informed, kind, and compassionate. All of them from each department , what a great staff. What I appreciated most is quality of care and compassionate staff.

The entire staff at TruVet are the most incredible team! You won’t find any better place than this, it is by far the top! They treated my puppy on a very complex and challenging case for conditions that developed very quickly and they had an entire team overseeing her in critical care, around the clock. They welcomed me to go back into the intensive care area to visit my girl ‘Dally’ under treatment. Their intake staff gal was also superb, she was compassionate, honest and very attentive. They were ALL so knowledgeable, professional and supportive and also very compassionate and to the point as they worked through the process of navigating her very unique and unfortunately fatal condition. A friend, Vet tech, referred us to Dr. Kim Tong at TruVet. We were at the brink of losing our beloved 13 year old dog. Dr. Tong was able to accommodate us the same day. We did not think we could afford TruVet as a specialty hospital. We agreed to just get his opinion. He was so confident that he could treat her successfully, we had some hope of saving her but how could we find enough money or credit to pay them. TruVet was able to come up with an affordable plan so we left her with them. A few hours later, we took her home. Almost immediately we could see improvement. Every day she is better. I feel that I was provided with the best care possible. From arriving at the front desk to leaving with my kitty, the staff was extremely kind, communicative & caring. Dr. Marcus went above and beyond explaining things in a way that I understood and I felt both comfortable and confident with him caring for my kitty❤️.

Duchess, my 12.5 year old Giant Schnauzer has laryngeal paralysis which is an incurable neurological disease with several awful manifestations. It's progressed to the point where excitement can cause respiratory distress. Recently we needed to see her internist at TruVet in Petaluma. Dr. Kruger was out of town. In her place Dr. Surgeef saw Duchie outside so as not to overexcite her. She sat on the concrete with her, so gentle and careful. We have been going to TruVet for 4 years with 2 of our 4 dogs. Our doctors are board certified in their specialities in and have a level of skill so high. They are caring, and so compassionate. This is important too. Vet tech Jenna is awesome, my favorite.
