If you find a animal you like don't get your hopes up. We found a dog here that we were very interested in getting. The staff here explained that foster and the Humane Society sometimes gets there dogs. We fully understand it's first come first serve. We've been by twice had a meet and greet with the dog and agreed to get the dog. We were told on Saturday the Dr. was sick and couldn't spayed the dog until maybe Monday or Tuesday. So my wife showed up Tuesday morning and was told it would probably be Thursday or Friday. Which it's a 24hr hold once they get the surgery. Well Thursday night my wife looks online and the dog is no longer on there site. So she showed up there an hour before they opened on Friday and made sure to be first in line. All to find out they've sent her to the Humane s

Fantastic place! Rescued a delightful kitten from them today and he's absolutely a bundle of pure joy! We're having the best time spoiling and playing with him. Perfect addition to our household

Clean, very friendly staff. They took the time to answer all my questions about adopting. Hate to state the obvious, but more help (vets and storage) are desperately needed for TNR services. Even if they could develop holding space for TNR as the appointment window is too narrow to even begin addressing the issue of cat overpopulation. Have participants be approved, register and leave a deposit of it's a security issue. Portable classrooms and securing corporate/public donations to set up temp holding, procedure areas until permanent facilities can be constructed. I realize the issue is no vets are available, what about area vets volunteering services, PNW vets having a reciprocal program to volunteer services and traveling to each other's areas to assist. Have new vets or those with stude

We recently adopted our sweet dog, Blue, from the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was kind, knowledgeable, and truly cared about finding the right match for our family. The first 48 hours with Blue were a little rocky as he adjusted to his new environment, but the shelter had prepared us well with helpful information and advice for the transition. Now, just a short time later, he’s settled in beautifully and has become the greatest addition to our household. He’s loving, loyal, and full of personality — we honestly can’t imagine our home without him. We’re so grateful to the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter for the incredible work they do and for bringing Blue into our lives. If you’re thinking about adopting, th

There are so many wonderful dogs here! Many different types, sizes, and breeds. It is really worth going in and asking to do a meet and greet with a dog or two that catches your eye, and staff will bring the dog to a quiet area for you to see how they really are one-on-one outside of the shelter kennels. I adopted my amazing girl, Elsa, from here and we could not be happier! Thank you TCAS for our new family member!
