I'm not sure how this place is even listed as a shelter. They clearly don't want to get homes of the animals they have. My mother in law and I drove an hour to go look at the 3 dogs they said would be a great fit after her application was approved. We went over and it seemed like every single dog we mentioned was "reactive" and not suitable for adoption. The 3 dogs she did meet was like goldy locks the first was way too hyper (she specifically wanted a lower energy dog) although very cute, second dog didnt seem to care for her much but was friendly enough (although the pup did bark at every single person she saw) and the last dog Odin was perfect for her. The Simon Foundation is a fantastic shelter! I recently adopted a cat that had some health issues, and they helped guide me through every step of how to help him. They are very communicative, kind, knowledgeable, and overall an amazing facility filled with great people. A big shoutout to Nikole for communicating with me and keeping me up to date with everything in our complex, month long health related situation. Jane was extremely helpful the first time I entered the shelter, guiding me through the adoption process. I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation enough, thank you all! If you couldn’t tell, I highly recommend adopting from this shelter :)

We adopted out puppy, Penny, from the Simon Foundation and it was the best decision we ever made!! They were so easy to work with and were very helpful. They do a great job matchings dogs to the right forever home. All around a great experience and would recommend anyone looking for a dog. We had some issues with other places because we were first time dog owners but they were very understanding and supportive at the Simon Foundation. They checked out references and gave us a chance. We are so greatful they did!!Penny is apart of our family.

We volunteered for Simon foundation for the first time. Staffs are nice, they have dogs, puppies. If you are interested to adopt, you can contact them. We went there to help them with cleaning up, weeds , grasses. We spent 5 hours. But the dogs weren’t happy to see us.
