Such an amazing experience adopting from Dog Star. Everyone there cares so much about these dogs and wants to see each and every one of them go to the best homes! Love the process and their adoption events are just as amazing. Thank you Dog Star for bringing Paulie (Olaf) into our lives!

This is a top rate, well run, dog rescue. This is not a shelter, where dogs are pacing back and forth in cages. The thing that sets Dog Star Rescue apart, is the extensive dog foster network where a dog lives in a home while the foster instills basic leash, potty and house training. The online website is well organized and easy to use. Once an application is received, the adoption coordinators reach out to applicants quickly as to explain the next steps and to offer support and answer questions. The dogs photos and bios are well written giving potential adopters plenty of information. The weekly meet and greet was a great way to meet the dogs and speak to the fosters about each dog you werr intetested. We found our match this past Saturday. She wasnt first on our list, but she defiinitely

We adopted our Australian cattle fireball Popcorn here and couldn't be happier! Everyone was so kind, professional and we honestly couldn't have gotten the better dog. The foster Mom was fantastic and everyone there loves what they do! Dog Star is the best!

I adopted our new dog Millie and of all the rescues I have adopted from over the years I think this rescue is the most organized and takes the most steps to ensure a good match. They have a multi step process to adopt and really screen the adopters which I appreciate. They listened to my concerns and the specific things I was looking for to add another dog to my “pack”. Overall I have no complaints and they did a great job. Millie has been a perfect fit for our family!
