The Quirky Pet

“Pet supply store” doesn’t often scream “tourist destination”, but boy am I glad I popped in. I was visiting VT and made a small detour because we heard about the owner’s unique dogs that may be roaming about the store. The owner and her husband couldn’t be nicer people. They gave me a fun tour of the store, told me some jokes, and gave me local tips. The store itself is top notch. High quality products, and not to mention unique! This place is truly one of a kind

We were in Vermont about a month ago visiting some of the cities including Montpelier. As we were exploring this charming capital city we noticed a sign saying “organic cat nip” and we always want to give the best to our cat (who was actually on this trip camping with us). We walked in and noticed a man talking with who we assumed was the owner. He begins to share silly and quirky stories about their dogs. We soon discovered via their interactions that it was the owners husband. He gave us an amazing story about their store and the records hanging in their window front - trust me the stories are all apart of the experience visiting this store. Everyone should take a visit to give great quality products for your pets and even just to hear the friendly, silly, and quirky stories they have

Doggonit, how fun! If you don't go for the cheerful chirping of the birds, then go for the sweet, full selection of fabulous dog treats and artisan-level catnip. Small but mighty, you'll find choices. They make it easy to shop Local!

This is genuinely the best pet store I’ve ever visited. The variety of unique local products is unmatched, and the owner, Cindra, has established such a welcoming and community-oriented vibe in the shop. I’m not a very outgoing person, but I felt totally comfortable asking her for help finding the right chew for my picky dog. She was kind and knowledgeable and her recommendations were spot on. The recipients of my purchase were all very happy. Here’s what they each thought: Senga (my 9yo beagle mix): Won’t bother with chews like bully sticks because she considers them too much effort. She’s currently on restricted activity due to a health issue, so I wanted to give her some extra enrichment. My favorite place to get my dog treats. They variety of dried treats is pretty amazing! She also offers variety bags at a decent price and local treats from a shop in town. All-in-all this is a great place and worth the stop, your pet will appreciate you for it.
